The TEVET Authority in Malawi regulates and promotes technical, entrepreneurial, and vocational education and training through various programs. 

One of its programs is Formal Apprenticeship, which is a modular competence-based training offered by registered TEVET Provider Institutions and industrial attachment. 

Apprentices are trained in their chosen occupation and certified at levels one to four of achievements.
